At the beginning of the year I participated in the @ learntopaintpodcast #20for20artchallenge2022 hosted by @kellyannepowers
About the challenge:
1. All subjects, all media, all skill levels welcome.
2. No need to finish a painting.
3. Commit to 20 minutes and share what you create on Instagram using the #20for20ArtChallenge2022 hashtag.
4. Celebrate your showing up.
This was day 1 at #tathrabeach, watercolour and acrylic on paper. It was interesting to realise how much you can actually achieve in 20 minutes, and in some ways - how much clearer the decision making process becomes.. This was completed in 2x20 minute blocks.
I finished the 20 day challenge with surprising results. My painting skills improved and it became easier to stay 'in the zone'.
The challenge now, is to maintain the daily, 20 minute practice while teaching 5 days a week! eek!
